Ever dreamed of being a Nat Geo photographer? Well, here’s your chance to make that dream a reality. But you’re going to have to act fast: The deadline for the National Geographic Traveler Photo Contest is coming up on Tuesday, June 30.
So far, the entries have been surprising and stunning, even awe-inspiring, but the winners are far from being chosen. Don’t miss your last chance to enter…and win big (scroll down for details).
Enter your best travel photos in up to four categories:
Outdoor Scenes
Sense of Place

Travel Portraits
Traveler magazine will be awarding spectacular prizes to a total of ten winners. Here’s a little more about them:
Grand prize: A trip for two to Costa Rica and Panama with National Geographic Expeditions to experience—and document—some of the most wild and dynamic landscapes on Earth.
The other prizes aren’t too shabby, either. The first runner-up will be sent on a photo expedition through Yellowstone with an in-the-flesh Nat Geo photographer; third place wins you a six-day cruise for two on a schooner in Maine; and seven merit prize winners will take home hefty gift certificates to B&H Photo and Nat Geo’s “Masters of Photography” course on DVD.
Perhaps best of all, the ten prize-winning photos will appear in the year-end issue of National Geographic Traveler magazineNational Geographic Traveler magazine and on the National Geographic website.
So what are you waiting for? Read the rules and fine print, check out last year’s winners for inspiration, then submit your best travel photos now for a chance to show off your travel eye in a big way.
