"As much of the first grade class at St. Rose of Lima Elementary School enjoys a carefree recess Kaylee Marshfield sits alone amidst her peers," reports Your Shot photographer Maranie Rae. "After being diagnosed with cancer Kaylee has had to navigate the physical effect of cancer and chemotherapy as well as the social and emotional impact of isolation and feeling different. At the end of the day I asked her how she was doing; Kaylee responded simply, 'I feel alone.'" This photo was submitted to Your Shot, our photo community on Instagram.
